there is always much to process every time we read or hear God’s word.

  • do i believe this is true? do i believe this is God speaking?
  • what is God calling me to? what will keep me from joyful belief and obedience?
  • how does the finished work of Jesus empower me to live in his truth today?

today as you read this passage. focus on what God is calling you to believe and or do? what is he asking of you? ask him to show you what will keep you from joyful obeience? and finally, ask him to empower you thru the finished work of Jesus. if we can follow the holy commands of Jesus without the empty tomb, we are not following Jesus. his ways are too high, to holy, to other. you and i desperately need him to hear and to obey. lean into Jesus hard today as he speaks. he is speaking. he is near. he is with you. he is with you! Immanuel.

listen and follow, our Master is speaking!

[8] for even if i made you grieve with my letter, i do not regret it—though i did regret it, for i see that that letter grieved you, though only for a while. [9] as it is, i rejoice, not because you were grieved, but because you were grieved into repenting. for you felt a godly grief, so that you suffered no loss through us. [10] for godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death. [2 corinthians 7:8-10]
